Description

This course is designed to introduce you to the basic skills of technical analysis, so that you can make your own investment decisions in the share market.

Technical analysis has become more popular than ever with the availability of highly sophisticated charting software and live market data. This course will teach you the difference between technical analysis and fundamental analysis and how technical analysis will give you that extra edge in the market. The key is identifying the health of a share through its trend. Just like a doctor examines X-Rays, blood tests, etc, to determine your health, you can use charts to determine the health of a particular share and know when it is the right time to buy and when to sell.

You will learn about different types of chart methods, understand how to determine significant reference points on the chart, define the overall health of a share by its trend and understand the market stages that shares move through. You will then put all this knowledge together into sound entry and exit techniques that will assist you in getting started in technical analysis trading and provide you with an additional edge in the market.

You will also be introduced to some key risk management strategies and learn how to position size your trades and manage risk in the market. Risk is one of the key secrets to successful trading - you can't control the market or a particular share, you can only control how you manage your risk in the market. Your goal is to keep your losses small and let your profits run. That is the only way you can be successful in trading and this course will teach you the skills you need to do this.

Exercises are provided throughout each section to test your learning as you progress through the course.

Charting is an extremely valuable tool - if you know how to use it and this home study course is a good place to start learning how.

You can learn more about technical analysis from the article that Justine has written called "Why Technical Analysis?".

"I would like to express my appreciation for your Smart Technical Analysis Home Study Course. This has helped me a great deal in understanding Technical Analysis particularly how Moving Averages work and how to apply them. I have read quite a few books on trading/technical analysis and by far this has been the only one that has explained this subject clearly and easy to understand; the exercises have helped me feel confident in my learning."
Jackie Espino, NSW

"Thank you, I have just finished your Smart Technical Analysis Home Study Course and it is fantastic. The information has filled in many gaps for me that was missing in trading my knowledge. Now I’m onto the Smart Trading Plan & System Development Online Course - I can’t wait to get into this next course."
David Tuynman, NSW

" I recently completed your Smart Technical Analysis Home Study Course and I am halfway through reading your book. It's given me a lot of ideas to consider, especially after placing a number of trades last year during the upturn in the market - I now realise I could've made more money than I did by following the information I now know. The number one thing I have taken on board is a stop loss. This would've saved me a substantial amount of my annual profit on the one trade where I kept losing money while hoping that the trend would turn around. "
Jonathan Nixon, NSW
